Fidelity Check Session Update

What is a Fidelity Check?

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction provides focused process monitoring for Race to the Top activities through Fidelity Checks. These Fidelity Checks are face-to-face workshop sessions that offer districts and charter schools support and planning time as they consider their priorities and progress toward the local implementation of the Common Core and Essential Standards. NCDPI professional development staff will facilitate reflection, dialogue, and group work within and across teams so that educators can share and learn from one another as they work to implement their specific plans, with fidelity.

Region 1 Fidelity Check/Support session is scheduled for October 12, 2011. This session will be held at the Vernon James Center in Plymouth, North Carolina.

Registration will begin at 8:30 and the session is scheduled from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Please register a team of 2 to 6 'decision-makers' from your district or charter. The focus of our first fidelity meeting will be on your roll-out of professional development related to the Common Core and NC Essential Standards. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 am and will end by 4 pm. Lunch will be served on site.

Registration questions may be sent to Dr. Holleman, NERESA Director, by emailing .
